The cleanliness of the premises is divided into 9 classes according to the international standard ISO 14644-1. The highest is ISO class 1 – in such a room people can only be with a spacesuit. ISO class 9 corresponds to a sterile hospital room. The requirements of each higher class are becoming more stringent. In order to define the requirements cleanrooms have following standards.
